Unpacking the Open Call: A Conversation with Artists and Jurors of Labs New Artists III
Several artists and jurors of Labs New Artists III will discuss the process of selection and the aesthetic and conceptual currents that presented among the submissions and have carried into the show. Of particular interest will be themes of constructed identity, inclusion, the body as a site for modification, and technology and its influence on the photographic medium.

This panel discussion will address the evolving emerging photography landscape and its role in admitting new voices and ideas into the collective consciousness. This will also be an opportunity for emerging photographers who may be less familiar with the discourse of the marketplace.
