This workshop will explore the role of digital images in today’s hyper-networked world. Group critiques and light reading will shape roundtable discussions of topics like technology and innovation as well as art and photography’s place in shaping our political imagination. Interdisciplinary work is welcome and encouraged. Above all we will ask: What happened to the future? Participants will be expected to bring new work for critique on a rotating schedule. This four week workshop is a crash course in media theory as applied to artistic practice today.
Four Thursdays: October 3, 10, 17, 24 6:30-9:30 PM
